Reduced Admission begins with the Fall Season at Reptile Gardens

Autumn is a great time of year from locals to visit Reptile Gardens.

As summer comes to an end, Reptile Gardens would like to invite friends and families to take advantage of their reduced fall season rates.

Admission rates at Reptile Gardens will be reduced starting on September 4 and will stay at the reduced rate until October 31. Reptile Gardens will continue to be open seven days a week, but will be starting its fall hours of 9:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m as of September 4.

Reptile Garden's CEO, Joe Maierhauser, suggests that fall is the ideal time for local residents to visit.

"With the weather cooling down, now is the perfect time to wander around the grounds and enjoy the shows," Maierhauser said. "Especially for local residents, because the park will not be as busy as during the tourist season."

Reptile Gardens offers visitors and Rapid City residents one of the largest collection of reptiles, amphibians and bugs in the world. With animals like a 1250 pound saltwater crocodile, Reptile Gardens provides visitors with the opportunity to learn and explore with hundreds of species first hand.

Dog Policy

We love all animals, wild and domesticated. Unfortunately due to a high number of recent incidents with dogs, our insurance company has advised us that we can no longer allow dogs, or other personal pets, on the Reptile Gardens grounds. ADA approved service dogs are, of course, allowed although there are three areas where they are not allowed for their safety and the safety of our animals. We do offer a shaded grassy area adjacent to our parking lot for walking your dog. We only ask that your pet be leashed and attended to at all times. You are welcome to come and go from the park as often as you like to tend to your dog. For more information, visit our FAQ Page
